Creative copywriting & editing
I have worked in copywriting and editing for the charity sector throughout my career, both in longer-term positions and freelance.
I love using creativity to serve worthwhile causes where I get to highlight compelling stories of people overcoming adversity.
I have a keen eye for detail, am good at adapting to house styles and responsive to tight deadlines.
2018 - present
Writing poetry continues to be an area of immense reward and challenge. I was fortunate enough to be awarded Arts Council England 'Develop your Creative Practice' funding which has enabled me to work with a mentor for the last year.
I have had poems published in a number of journals (see projects) and had a pamphlet shortlisted and longlisted respectively by Verve, Ninepens and Against the Grain.
No Use Crying, Frances Lincoln
My YA novel was published, and described in The Independent on Sunday as ‘an impressive first novel with striking imagery and a cast of splendid characters.’
